KENYA RETREAT

15.-20. Nov 2026

A PRACTICE OF BEING

A Practice of Being create spaces for exploration and connection. It was born from the belief that life itself is a practice: not something to perfect, but something to inhabit with curiosity, compassion and awareness.

Our upcoming retreat in Kenya is a living expression of that vision. A physical space where practice meets life, and where you get to meet yourself and others in practice.

At the beautiful and intimate boutique hotel Kaya Imani, we’ll create a simple container for what most of us are missing: time to arrive and space to breathe - with embodied practices that translate into real life.

You will move, rest, listen and reconnect, with enough structure to feel held and enough freedom to feel like yourself again

KAYA IMANI is an intimate, family-run boutique hotel run by Kenya based Norwegians, Lindsay and Eirik Jarl. The hotel is located on a secluded beach and surrounded by indigenous forest, making it the perfect location for a retreat.

The space offers 5 spacious ensuite rooms, with flexible bed-arrangements, spacious common areas, a pool and two yoga shalas. The buildings are decorated by artists from around the world, radiating joy through vibrant colors.

The Area: On the Kenyan coast the pace of life is slow and laid back. People are very friendly and love a good laugh. The predominant inhabitants of Msambweni are the Digo people, one of the nine ethnic groups that comprise the Mijikenda community. The Digo are renowned for their rich traditions, including music, dance and crafts, which are integral to their cultural identity.
